What to know about no-exam term

Every carrier shown with a green 'No exam at this amount' chip publishes a no-exam limit at or above the coverage you selected. Simplified-issue carriers (Ethos, Ladder, Haven Simple, SBLI) never require an exam; traditional carriers use accelerated underwriting and may still request one. Read our full no-exam guide for the price trade-offs.

Questions

How does this comparison tool work?

It checks your age, coverage amount, term length and state against each carrier's published issue ages, face-amount range, term options and state availability, then ranks the matches by our editorial rating. It is a fit filter, not a quote engine; actual premiums come from the carrier after underwriting.

Why isn't every life insurer listed?

We rate carriers that sell term life nationally, hold an AM Best rating of A or better, and publish enough product detail to compare fairly. Captive carriers that only quote through their own agents and very small regional insurers are excluded.

Are the ratings influenced by commissions?

No. Quote Genie earns a commission from some carriers and marketplaces when you request a quote, but ratings are set by a fixed methodology before any commercial relationship is considered. Several top-rated carriers pay us nothing.

What does 'no exam at this amount' mean?

It means the carrier's published no-exam limit is at or above the coverage amount you selected. You may still be asked for an exam if your health questionnaire or prescription history raises a flag.
